In Annandale, near the Gallows exit of 495 there is a nice, quaint home hidden away. The homeowners were previous clients of FW&D, so pleased with our work in their basement that they decided to remodel the kitchen from the ground up; new flooring, new appliances, new countertops, and even ceiling drywall.
FW&D was happy to return.
Once everything was approved, FW&D ordered the new materials. The major components were the Kraftmaid Cabinets, stove, refrigerator, under-cabinet lights, faucet, sink, and garbage disposal, flooring materials, a Quartz counter top and a tile backsplash for behind the stove. Primer and semi-gloss was also on the list for the multiple coats of paint for the ceiling, walls, and trim work. FW&D had to remove the bulkhead in the ceiling to install 42-inch cabinets for more storage. Imagine all these materials going into a galley kitchen, which can be a tad cozy. In the original kitchen, the cabinets were standard 30-inch cabinets.
There were other changes and adjustments, but all went according to plan. FW&D removed all the existing fixtures and appliances and before too long, a new kitchen emerged.
The transformation was like night and day. The chic, modern Galley Kitchen in Annandale was as different from its former self as a caterpillar is to a butterfly. FW&D was proud to be a part of this renovation project.
